How It Works
Four steps, and you control every one of them.
1. Create a profile
Name, date of birth, and the rest at your own pace: religion, mother tongue, community, education, profession, family. You can create it for yourself or on behalf of a son, daughter, brother or sister.
Your phone number goes in a field of its own, and it is never shown on your profile.
2. Look, and be looked at
Search on any of the profile fields, or let Matches use the partner preferences you saved. Shortlist anyone you want to come back to.
3. Express an Interest
Send an Interest with a line about why. It lands in their Interests & Requests folder, and they accept or decline. Accept, and you become Accepted Members — which is the only thing that opens messaging between you.
Photos and phone numbers are treated differently, deliberately. Photos are visible to members by default — you can see someone's pictures while you are deciding whether to write to them, and they can see yours. A member who would rather be asked first can set their photos to approve-only, or to Accepted Members only, from their profile at any time; then you ask, and they approve or decline.
Phone numbers are never shown. That one always works by request, whatever else is set.
4. Talk
Write to any Accepted Member. Save a message as a draft and reuse it as often as you like. Every conversation stays in one thread you can open from anywhere in the inbox.
The inbox
Eight folders, and nothing hidden in a corner:
- Emails — conversations with Accepted Members
- Interests & Requests — everything waiting for your answer, in one list
- Filtered Out — Interests from members outside your stated preferences, set aside rather than deleted
- Accepted Members — everyone you are connected with, and where Send Email picks from
- Sent — every message, Interest and request you sent, filterable by kind
- Drafts — saved and reusable
- Archived — declined, cancelled and deleted items, all in one place
- Notifications — what happened while you were away
Taking it back
Under Who I gave access to you can see every member holding your photos or your number, and revoke either at any moment. Blocking someone closes the connection entirely.
What it costs
Your first 14 days are free and nothing is held back during them — messages included. We ask for no card to start, so there is nothing to cancel and no way for it to become a subscription while you are not watching.
After that, a membership costs a small fraction of the usual subscription for a site like this one. If you choose not to join, or a membership lapses, you keep everything except sending new messages: search, profiles, matches, your shortlist, your inbox, and answering Interests that arrive all carry on working. Why we price it this way.
